The Debating Workshop by Mr. Charlie Morris from UK held in Amity International School, Pushp Vihar was one such domain oriented enrichment programme for the English teachers of Amity, Pushp Vihar, Saket, Sector 46 & 43 Gurgaon. It was an enriching experience for all the teachers as the various nuances of debating skill were reinforced quite deftly by Mr. Morris. He stressed on the vital points of carving a debater out of a shy & introvert child through numerous ice-breaking tactics. He emphasized upon the art of improvisation & effective body language too and introduced various activities like –‘Defending the Indefensible’; ‘The Sales Game’; ‘Arms Wide Open’ etc. to sum up the idea.

The teachers also had their queries which were taken graciously by Mr. Morris in an open house interactive session. The workshop opened new vistas for the teachers to think differently and the valuable tips shared by Mr. Morris on how to make implicit –explicit would surely be implemented innovatively by all in their respective schools.
